Best 2017 games that are worthy of waiting

Enjoyyourlife | 02:43

Here is a list of best 2017 games that are worthy of waiting for your checking out. Let's take a view at right now

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Release date: March 2017

We’re just a day away from seeing the ‘first’ Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay footage, as BioWare keeps pretending its PlayStation Pro trailer doesn’t exist. Mostly, though, we’ve seen cinematic footage that continues to confirm the dump of information that slipped out a year ago on Reddit, supposedly via a marketing survey. We know that Andromeda takes place hundreds of years after Mass Effect 3, when humans and their alien allies arrive in a new galaxy. There will be mysterious ancient aliens, and alien baddies with alien exoskeletons, and space sex with aliens, surely.

A few more interesting details: BioWare says Andromeda is its biggest game, wewon’t be loading in elevators, and loyalty missions won’t define the end of the game—they can be played after the main story concludes. See all our stories in our Mass Effect: Andromeda hub, and look out for the new trailer tomorrow at the Game Awards.

BattleTech

Release date: TBA 2017

We've got high hopes the turn-based return of BattleTech. The folks at Harebrained Schemes have earned a reputation for producing great strategy RPGs from responsibly-run Kickstarter projects, and the best conceivable people are in the cockpit: BattleTech creator Jordan Weisman, Mike McCain (creative director on Shadowrun Returns), and Mitch Gitelman, who was game director on the wonderful MechCommander series. Check out my list of fun, weird and just plain amazing fact of life I have found.

The early prototype we played at PAX only featured one mission, but its internal structure seems sound. Harebrained's approach to translating BattleTech's tabletop ruleset shows reverence, but not at the expense of embracing new ideas: we're excited about the idea of light mechs having real utility as scouts and flankers in a turn-based game, where time and speed can be difficult to express. And because the map isn't on a grid, individual angles, rock formations, and details seem like they'll matter.

BattleTech met stretch goals that guarantee 1v1 PvP multiplayer, but we're glad that this game seems mostly focused on its singeplayer mercenary campaign. You'll be riding around in a massive dropship, which structurally seems like it'll resemble XCOM 2's modular base stations for managing mechs, pilots, and salvage.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

Release date: TBA 2017

Part spectacle, part sim, part sandbox RPG, Mount & Blade remains a one-of-a-kind blend of systems and ideas. It's the thrill of being in a battle that's way bigger than you, of launching a single arrow into a horde of 50 dudes storming your castle. And it's the fun of being an average lord in a churning political and military sea of medieval NPCs.

The original (excluding Warband) is almost 10 years old, so as much as anything we're glad to see Bannerlord bringing a visual and technical overhaul to the series. Character customization, as we saw at the PC Gamer Weekender, offers enough flexibility to sculpt convincing dark ages replicas of Adam Driver, Vladimir Putin, Arnold, and others, but we're equally interested in the new item crafting system, which seems like it'll let you build weapons with personality and history. And lord, those sieges look nuts.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Release date: March 7, 2017

Take a big open world, stuff it with 100 Far Cry-type outpost missions, and jump in with some co-op partners—Tom Senior did just that back in June and found Ubisoft’s upcoming third-person tactical shooter full of enjoyable and emergent chaos. Ghost Recon: Wildlands takes place in a Bolivian landmass where four players comprise a military taskforce sent to disrupt a drug cartel and the government it’s aligned with. While players may have a specific missions—whether it’s to steal some intel or kidnap an informant—how they choose to tackle it is up to them. Guns blazing? Stealth? Or, as often happens, failed stealth that leads to guns blazing?

The open world—the first in Ghost Recon’s ten-game history—promises diverse environments like mountains, forests, and deserts, explorable by ground vehicles, helicopters, and parachutes. The setting is close to modern day, so weapons and gear aren’t as futuristic as they have been in earlier Recon games. Ubisoft is also promising that player choice will affect the world, and that non-violent interactions with NPCs like rebels and civilians can have an impact on missions and goals. And, if your pals aren’t around, you’ll be able to play solo using AI teammates in place of real ones. Would you like to get app, device and game reviews?

Prey

Release date: TBA 2017

New Prey has nothing to do with the old Prey, or Prey 2, which was cancelled back in 2014. Now in the hands of Arkane’s Austin studio, Prey is only familiar in name. Set in an alternate history where President Kennedy was never assassinated, the Soviets and the States continued their rivalry, until one took control of the Kletka Program, a space installation meant to control an alien threat. The project is eventually abandoned, and a corporation takes over (uh-oh), turning the station into “a cutting edge innovation center” called Talos 1. Big surprise, things don’t go well.

You play as Morgan Yu (male or female), who happens to be on board when the alien threat gets particularly threatening. From there, it’s a matter of survival and getting to the bottom of what went wrong. Expect plenty of shooting and exploration, and most interestingly, shape-shifting. You and the alien threat can take on nearly any form. An inconspicuous mug or trash bin might be an alien in wait, or if they’re hunting you down, try the mug life for yourself.

Divinity: Original Sin 2

Release date: TBA 2017

Early Access has already given us a taste of Original Sin 2, which could easily be the best RPG of 2017. Larian has heavily iterated on its dense turn-based battle system, adding an armor system, elevation, and bless and curse statuses that can completely turn your intentions on their head. Set fire to a pool of oil and it will burn your enemies alive—but if they bless it, suddenly it has healing properties. The most obvious change this go-round, though, is a heavier focus on writing and roleplaying, with a stable of writers including Chris Avellone bringing a darker tone and more racial tension into the opening hours of this story. It's a big shift, but the story ended up Original Sin's weakest link, and Larian seems determined not to repeat that mistake. Learn more about interesting science facts via our wide range of articles.

There's already working four-player co-op for a slice of Original Sin 2's first act, and the full game is out sometime in 2017. Larian's still being secretive about its planned Dungeon Master mode, but that may well turn OS2 into a canvas for our own RPG adventures.

Dream facts that will amaze you

Enjoyyourlife | 00:19

Dream facts that will amaze you

1. Dream tenure

An average human being spends 6 whole years of his/her life dreaming, from everydayfunlifefacts.

2. Memory limit

There's a time limit to how much you can remember about your dream. Only within five minutes since you are up from your sleep, an average person's dream is forgotten and in just 10 minutes, 90 percent of the dream is gone with the wind. However, if awakened at the REM (rapid eye movement sleep) stage, that person is more likely to remember the dream.

3. Eyes don't matter

Blind people can dream. People who became blind after birth can see images in their dreams and those who were born blind dream as vividly, however, instead of seeing images, they use their other senses such as smell, sound, touch etc. to dream.

4. Dream Master

The good part is that you can often control your dreams. You can manipulate, twist and turn the beginning and the ending of your dreams like it's a movie being shot in front of you. It is called the "Lucid dreaming" (one is aware that he/she is dreaming) phase.

5. Entry level

Toddlers don't star in their own dreams till they are about 3-4 years old.

6. Dreams are for everyone

There is not one person who doesn't dream, except those who have psychological disorders. If you think you don't dream, it's just that you're forgetting your dreams. That might be one of the most awesome interesting facts ever.

7. Familiarity

You might not remember the person in your dream. However, a person only dreams of people he/she has encountered in life but it's impossible to keep track of thousands of faces that you come across each day.

8. Colour no bar

Not everyone dreams in colour and not everyone dreams in black and white. If a person grew up watching black and white television, he/she is more likely to dream in black and white. In a survey, it was revealed that 12% of sighted people ONLY dreamt in black and white and rest of the sample dreamt exclusively in colour. The number has gone down. Today, only 4.4% under-25-year olds dream in black and white, the change is being based (by scientists) upon the transformation from black and white television to colour media.

9. Symbol

You sometimes have the strangest of dreams - some scary, some worrisome and the rest absolutely angelic. Remember, these are all symbols for something or the other. There's nothing strange about these dreams because they are only talking in a symbolic language like poems. Check out my list of fun, weird and just plain amazing fact of life I have found.

10. Universal

It's not only you who dreams, animals dream too just like this leopard lost in his dreamworld after eating lunch. The best example is a dog, you will often see them twitching their paws as if they are running in their dreams.

Surprising facts you had no idea about Moose

Enjoyyourlife | 19:49

Can you list some Moose facts? Don't you know the answer? Don't worry, this writing will help you. Keep reading to know surprising facts you had no idea about Moose

1. MOOSE ARE HUGE.

Moose are the largest members of the deer family, weighing as much as 1200 pounds; they can grow to be 5 to 6.5 feet from hooves to shoulders. This does not include a raised head or antlers, so it's safe to say that the majority of moose tower over all non-basketball players.
Enjoy our wide range of funny pictures with captions that can make a joyful day.

2. THEY EAT A LOT.

With huge size comes a huge appetite. Moose are browsers and will casually devour 73 pounds a day in the summer and 34 pounds in the winter. They eat an assortment of shrubs, woody plants, and aquatic vegetation; in the winter, their diet is more restricted, so they eat the buds of plants.

3. ORGANISMS OF ALL SIZES POSE A THREAT TO MOOSE.

Moose are formidable opponents with sharp hooves that can kick with tremendous force, but even they have predators. A pack of wolves or a black bear is no match for a healthy adult moose, so bears and wolves typically pick off the young, sick, and old. And even though moose are powerful and quite large, a single bite can do one in: There's a good chance the bite will cause an infection that eventually kills the animal up to two weeks later.

Moose also have a much smaller menace to worry about: parasites. Brain worm (Parelaphostrongylus tenuis) is a parasite contracted from eating snails. The infectious larvae migrate to the moose's brain and cause neurological damage. "It’s interesting thinking of something as big as a human hair killing a 1200 pound moose, but they do," Carstensen says.

Another tiny nuisance is the winter tick. Tick infestations depend on the weather and habitat: Harsh winters mean less ticks the following year; when ticks fall off animals to complete their cycle and there's still snow on the ground, they die. So hard, long winters are great news for moose.

4. THEIR ANTLERS ARE USED FOR FIGHTING...

When fighting off predators, the antlers, or paddles, don't come into play as much as you would think; a moose's first line of defense is its sharp hooves, which are capable of mortally wounding a wolf or bear.

Paddles are only found on males, and used mainly for fighting and displaying. During mating season in autumn, bulls will cover a lot of ground looking for females to mate with. They establish breeding territory by fighting off other males in the area. The fights are not always fight-to-the-death scenarios, and often a competing moose will back away from a fight if the challenger has a more impressive rack of antlers. Great paddles are not the only way to find mates; some males with better navigational skills—or just sheer luck—may come across a female by chance and completely skip antler combat.

5. ...AND THEY SHED EVERY YEAR.

Moose lose their paddles every winter and grow new ones the following spring. "Antler growth is based on testosterone levels and day length," Carstensen says. "So they start to grow those antlers in the late spring and summer, and they’re covered in velvet. The velvet is vascularized so there is a blood-flow supplying these antlers as they’re growing." By early fall—a.k.a. mating season—bulls start to shed and shine their paddles by rubbing them against trees. Their fuzzy velvet-covered antlers go through a gory transformation, and by October they will have shiny new paddles for competition and display.

Antlers are also a great indicator of age. With each winter, young moose paddles grow in size: nubs become spikes and spikes become full racks. Bulls in their prime, between ages 5 and 8, have the largest racks. With old age, the antlers become more deformed and less impressive.

6. ANTLERS ARE HEAVY.

Just like the moose themselves, antlers can come in different sizes. The paddles are essentially a big bone, so they generally weigh quite a bit; bulls develop muscular necks to help hold up the enormous paddles. A full grown moose's antlers can weigh about 40 pounds. Anyway, this may be one of the most fascinating animal facts until now.

7. THE BABIES NEED HELP FROM THEIR MOM.

Female moose, or cows, generally have 1 to 2 calves in May. On average, the calves weigh about 30 pounds at birth and grow very quickly. Still, baby moose don't have the ability to run or protect themselves very well, so the mother stays with her offspring for a year and a half, fighting off wolves and bears that try to pick off the young calves.

8. THEY'RE GREAT SWIMMERS.

Moose are naturally gifted swimmers. It's common to see one hop right into a lake and swim across at up to 6 mph. The animals have an innate ability to know how to swim, so even calves can swim.

9. THERE ARE FOUR SUBSPECIES IN NORTH AMERICA.

Moose can be categorized into four different species in North America: the eastern moose (A. alces americana), the Shiras moose (A. alces shirasi), the Alaskan moose (A. alces gigas), and the northwestern moose (A. alces andersoni), which Carstensen works with in Minnesota. Moose can be distinguished by different sizes and antler shapes. The largest moose is the Alaskan moose (pictured above) that can stand at 7 feet tall with an antler span of 6 feet.

10. THEY'RE DYING AT AN ALARMING PACE.

Something is happening to all the moose in Minnesota. The state once had a flourishing moose population in the north that was hunted and doing quite well: In the mid-1980s, there were 2000 of the animals in the northwest, but that number dropped to less than 200 in just two decades. This prompted the state to do some research to prevent further drops in population. Unfortunately, the northeast is now facing similiar a problem; the moose population has dropped 50 percent since the mid-2000s.

Unknown Facts About Greater Bilby

Enjoyyourlife | 20:25

Unknown Facts About Greater Bilby

Greater bilbies are commonly known as bilbies due to the lesser bilby now being extinct. They are marsupials found only in Australia and are also called rabbit-eared bandicoots. The Easter Bilby is an Australian alternative to the Easter Bunny.

Facts About Greater Bilby

  • The greater bilby comes from the family of marsupials known as bandicoots. It is the largest among all the members of the family.
  • According to the AustralianNationalUniversity, the animal has derived its name from an aboriginal language ‘Yuwaalaraay’.
  • Its black coloured eyes, nearly 1 centimetre in diameter, do not make clear vision. Due to the poor vision, it solely relies on its strong sense of hearing and smell. The eyes are protected with the help of fine black eyelashes. This is one of the most interesting facts about Greater Bilby ever.
  • Built of a greater bilby comprises of long pointed nose, large hairless ears, white underside, black tail with a white crest. Because of its large ears, it is also known as Rabbit-Eared Bandicoot.
  • The large ears of bilby aid in its effective hearing, as well as, strive to regulate its body temperature. They are also exceptionally manoeuvrable and can be rotated, made to stand flat against the body, positioned at right angles to the body and can even be folded in half.
  • The soft and silky fuzz of bilby is primarily of pale blue-grey colours, with white and cream coloured undersides and feet.
  • The stretched nose with hairless pink tip gives bilby an ability to smell sharply and smartly. You can witness many long, dark fuzz stick out from either side of the snout.
  • A bilby has long slim tongue and 48 teeth: 26 on upper jaw and 22 on lower.
  • It has slightly curved claws on the toes of its front feet. Whereas, on the feet of its hind legs, the second and third toes have slight joints with much larger fourth toe.

  • Its claws and front legs are very strong which help it dig for its food and make deep burrows. An expert in digging, a bilby can dig up to a dozen of burrows. These burrows are generally spiral and as much as 3 meters deep.
  • When a female bilby digs the soil, the dirt does not fill in its pouch as the pouch of a bilby opens in backward direction.
  • The weight of an adult male bilby can go up to 2.5 kg. The weight of adult female bilby on the other hand, is significantly less (sometimes half) than that of an adult male.
  • These are the nocturnal creatures that came out of their burrows nearly an hour after sunset and often go back in their burrows before first rays of the sun.
  • The tail of a bibly is divided into three distinct sections: in the begining for a few centimetres, the colour of the tail resemble blue-greyish colour of the body; the middle section of the tail is black coloured, and at the end the tail is white.
  • Bilby is a solitary animal, which prefers to roam alone. Although sometimes, bilbies are also seen in groups with at the most four members.
  • Given that there is sufficient rainfall and food is available to them, bilbies can breed throughout the year. Let’s discover some interesting science facts that will amaze you.
  • Having the smallest gestation period of all the mammals, greater bilbies breed one to three young bilbies in a litter.
  • Infant bilbies remain in the pouch of their mother for nearly 80 days. It takes further 2 weeks till they become independent.
  • Bilbies are the omnivorous creatures. Their food ranges from seeds, fruits, fungi to spiders, bulbs, small animals, insects and their larvae.
  • A greater bilby consumes significant amount of mud along with its food.
  • Bilbies do not drink water; rather, their food provides them with the requisite level of water to survive.
  • Previously, they were hunted by Australians for food and fur. Other than humans, today they are preyed by foxes and feral cats.
  • Before the European settlement, nearly 70% of the Australian Mainland had bilbies.
  • At present, they are mostly seen in the south-west Queenslandand secluded parts of Western Australiaand the Northern Territory.
  • The isolations of each of their colonies make them even more susceptible to diseases and inbreeding.

Tips To Handle Your Cat From Biting

Enjoyyourlife | 02:24

Tips to handle your cat from biting and other random facts about cats right here

1
React calmly. Never hit, shout, chase, or lose your temper with a cat. You will simply terrify the cat and cause it to become nervous and confused.
Never call a cat to you and then punish it. The cat hasn't got a clue why you're responding negatively to him. In fact, the cat probably expects a pleasant response if you call it.

2
Remove yourself from the situation. The first thing to do is stop touching the cat and then hold your hands well out of striking range. If he doesn't calm down within a few seconds, stand up slowly so you can remove him from your lap. Walk away and do not return until he has calmed down.
Avoid soothing your cat after biting or scratching. Instead, signal your displeasure to the cat. After you've disciplined it, do not begin cuddling and petting him. This will confuse your cat and give him mixed signals. It may even begin biting you in order to get a cuddle.

3
Give the cat a way out. If you are trying to get from one room to another and a hissing, snarling cat blocks the way, look at the situation from his viewpoint. The cat believes he is trapped and you are walking towards him, which he perceives as a threat. He wants to run but there is no escape route so he must defend himself by attacking. The simple solution is to step aside, let the cat pass (which he will do at speed) and then go about your way.
Don't feed your cat for 20 minutes following a biting or scratching incident, as this might be wrongly taken as a reward.

4
Understand what encourages a cat to change its behavior. Cats respond best to positive reinforcement, namely praising and rewarding appropriate behavior, while ignoring and withdrawing from inappropriate behavior.
Hand the cat a catnip mouse to bite instead of you. Then, praise the cat for biting the toy.

5
Try the voice and body method. As soon as the cat bites or scratches, say "NO!" in an authoritative tone. At the same time, point your finger at the cat. Stare at the cat directly with an unimpressed or fierce look. Stares are regarded in the cat world as a threat of dominance.
It also helps to remove yourself from the cat's vicinity after doing this, or to ignore him for about 10 minutes.

6
Try the hand clapping method. When your cat bites or scratches, clap your hands and say "NO!" firmly. Remember, don't shout at your cat or clap directly in your cat's face. It can scare him and leave him nervous. Repeat this whenever biting or scratching occurs. Your cat should learn to stop.
This method works with a dominant, aggressive or cheeky cat. It's not recommended for use with a timid or nervous cat, since it can reinforce these traits.

7
Try to ignore the cat. The moment your cat stops biting or scratching you, stand up and walk away in a dismissive fashion without any further interaction. Make sure that the cat is all alone in the room with no human interaction for 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat this each time he tries to bite or scratch you. He will quickly associate the bad behavior with being ignored.
This method won't work with all cats, but works well with very affectionate cats, since they'll miss the attention, and with kittens, since they're still learning manners.

A wide range of rat facts and information

Enjoyyourlife | 20:29

Enjoy our following animal facts: A wide range of rat facts and information

  • Rats take care of injured and sick rats in their group.
  • Without companionship rats tend to become lonely and depressed.
  • Rats have excellent memories. Once they learn a navigation route, they won’t forget it.
  • When happy, rats have been observed to chatter or grind their teeth. This is often accompanied by vibrating eyes.
  • Rats make happy "laughter" sounds when they play.
  • Rats succumb to peer-pressure, just like humans. Brown rats are prone to disregard personal experiences in order to copy the behaviour of their peers. The urge to conform is so strong that they will even choose to eat unpalatable food if they are in the company of other rats who are eating it.
  • Although very curious animals, rats are also shy, and prefer to run away than confront a potential threat.Rats are extremely clean animals, spending several hours every day grooming themselves and their group members. They are less likely than cats or dogs to catch and transmit parasites and viruses.
  • A rat can go longer than a camel without having a drink of water.
  • Rats’ tails help them to balance, communicate and regulate their body temperature.
  • The rat is the first of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac. People born in this year are thought to possess characteristics which are associated with rats, namely: creativity, intelligence, honesty, ambition and generosity. Do you want to check out our long and rich source of tigers facts in your spare time?

  • Rats are recognised as the vehicle of Lord Ganesh in Indian tradition. They are worshipped at the Karni Devi Temple, where priests and pilgrims will feed them grain and milk.
  • The common pet fancy rat is actually known as Rattus norvegicus.
  • “Fancy” as it appears in “Fancy Rat” is not actually referring to the rats as fancy. The term “fancy” is used in a way that means to appreciate or like, such as “I fancy my pet rat”.
  • The first pet rats were domesticated in the 18th century, when people caught & tamed wild, rare albino rats (PEW’s, or Pink-Eyed Whites). These rats were kept for show and breeding purposes, especially for blood sport. Blood sports were later brought to an end.
  • H.H. Donaldson ( European biologist who came to America) is believed to have brought the first domesticated PEW rats into the United States.
  • The average lifespan of a pet rat is two to three years.
  • Female rats tend to have a softer coat than their male counterparts.
  • Dumbo eared rats do not have dumbo ears because of very carefully arranged breeding; the gene that causes dumbo ears is actually a mutation that results in deformity! Rats with this gene ARE overall healthy; they just have big ears, stockier bodies, and smaller lower jaws.
  • Cedar can kill a pet rat quickly, as the cedar oils are poisonous to the rats.
  • Mother rats are SO compassionate, that they will adopt virtually any baby and nurse it as their own with very little thought.

Challenge your knowledge with these tuatara facts

Enjoyyourlife | 20:11

Reading and enjoying these below animal facts on tuatara facts that will challenge your knowledge

1. The tuatara may look like a lizard, but it’s unique. The tuatara is not a lizard; it is the only living member of the order Rhynchocephalia, which flourished around 200 million years ago. All other members of the order became extinct 60 million years ago, in the late Cretaceous period.

2. The name “tuatara” comes from the Maori for “peaks on the back.”Tuataras have spiny crests along their backs made from soft, triangular folds of skin. These spines are more prominent in males, who can raise them during territorial or courtship displays.

3. They are surprisingly long-lived. Tuataras mature slowly and don’t stop growing until they reach about 30 years old. It is thought they can live up to 100 years in the wild. Part of the reason for their longevity may be their slow metabolism. Tuataras can tolerate much lower temperatures than most reptiles and they hibernate during the winter. The body temperature of tuataras can range from 41-52 °F over the course of a day, whereas most reptiles have body temperatures around 68 °F. This low body temperature results in a slower metabolism.

There exists a lot of amazing creatures in our world that are bound to make you surprise. Do you want to check out our long and rich source of tigers facts in your spare time?

4. They have a third eye. The tuatara has a third eye on the top of its head called the parietal eye. This eye has a retina, lens, cornea, and nerve endings, but it is not used for vision. The parietal eye is only visible in hatchlings, as it becomes covered in scales and pigments after four to six months. Its function is a subject of ongoing research, but it is believed to be useful in absorbing ultraviolet rays and in setting circadian and seasonal cycles.

5. They can regrow lost tails. The tuatara can break off its tail when caught by a predator and regenerate it later.

6. They have unusual teeth that can’t be replaced. Tuataras have a single row of teeth on the lower jaw and a double row of teeth on the upper jaw, with the bottom row fitting between the two upper rows when the mouth is closed. It’s a tooth arrangement not seen in any other reptile. And unlike all other living toothed reptiles, the tuatara’s teeth are not separate structures but sharp projections of the jaw bone. This means that worn down or broken teeth cannot be replaced. Older tuataras with worn-down teeth have to switch from eating hard insects to softer prey such as earthworms, larvae, and slugs.

7. Tuataras reproduce slowly. They take 10-20 years to reach sexual maturity. Males can mate every year, but females breed every two to five years. It takes the female between one and three years to provide eggs with yolk, and up to seven months to form the shell. Then it takes an additional 12 to 15 months from copulation to hatching, possibly the longest incubation rate of any reptile.

A male tuatara named Henry, living at the Southland Museum and Art Gallery, became a first-time father at the age of 111. He fathered 11 babies with a female named Mildred, believed to be in her seventies.

8. They’re diurnal when young, nocturnal as adults. Hatchling tuataras are believed to be active during the day to avoid the cannibalistic adult tuataras that come at out night.

9. They cohabitate with birds. Tuataras can dig their own burrows, but also use the burrows of seabirds for shelter when available. The seabirds’ guano provides an attractive environment for the invertebrates that tuataras prey upon, such as beetles, crickets, and spiders. Tuataras will also sometimes eat the eggs and young of the seabirds.
Just keep checking out our site everyday to get more updated news and information about everylife aspects as animal, plant or science facts and so on.

10. Tuataras’ worst enemies are rats. Tuataras once inhabited the New Zealand mainland as well as offshore islands. But when the first humans arrived from Polynesia, they brought rats and other animals that devoured tuatara eggs and hatchlings. The situation was so dire that the New Zealand government fully protected tuataras in 1895. Despite the protection, tuataras were extinct on the mainland and confined to around 30 offshore islands until the first mainland release of tuataras into a sanctuary in 2005. Three years later, a tuatara nest was uncovered, thought to be the first case of a tuatara successfully breeding on the New Zealand mainland in over 200 years. Along with captive breeding and release programs, attempts to eradicate rats from offshore islands have also met with success and allowed tuatara populations to rebound.
